A Long Time Ago

It was a day much like today that this event had happened. An old man who knew about the stars’ truth, was known as an elder in the many years before our time. Well, this story was about him and what he knew happened years ago, Deep within the abandoned city lay a hill. On the hill was a castle, yes, a castle as in knights, dragon’s king’s queens, prince and princesses. Well, many centuries ago this city was a kingdom with a powerful family in reign. These royals weren\"t always royal but the people were grateful when they became in power. The powerful couple had a long and happy life, they brought peace and prosperity among the lands.

When the king and queen had died of long life and because of the old age of ruling their kingdom and was laid peacefully to rest their daughter was left as the sole heir and only heir. As the princess grew older each day she wished that her parents the king and queen were there to help her with the kingdom of Holatopia. Before her time there was once a princess, a beautiful princess, just like her that grew up too soon and lost too early. She believed that everyone was good and that no one could be born in evil or revenge. It just wasn\"t something that she wanted to think on. This new princess found that she and the centuries-old princess was very much alike but she knew it was bound to happen as her family has been in reign for a very long time, she knew the land was once filled with havoc and chaos a long time ago, but recently because of her parents everything was at peace again. It was a bright and happy day. The sun was shining. The skies were clear. The animals lived in perfect harmony. The villages came and went. It was a day of peace and prosperity amongst all the world. This was a day of celebration. A time of joy and happiness.  The lands, kingdoms, were all in peace as the war had finally finished. The princess hated all types of conflict. When she got word, the war was over she had been overjoyed but sad as her mother and father wasn\"t there to see her in person, but she knew they were watching over her.
The old man knew of these stories, knew of the truth behind them. He was after all the young princess’s nephew. He was very close to the family and when he had got word of the war that had broken out quite soon after the king and queen\"s death he knew he had to use his wisdom and knowledge to write their story so that the next ruler could learn their past and history. His job was finally done he left the old castle, left the whispers of the past lingering in through the walls and left the old castle on top of the hill.
